Construction of Olympic Venues
«Rosa Khutor» Alpine Center
Brief information on the venue:
- Location: Rosa Khutor, Aibga Ridge. The base of the center will host all alpine skiing competitions. The total length of the alpine skiing slope is 9 km.
- The highest point is located on Aibga Ridge, which will host events during the Games Time.
- The courses were designed by the legendary Bernhard Russi, an Olympic champion in downhill skiing.
- The total area of the courses is 43 hectares.
- The courses are located at elevations ranging from 940 to 1945 m and have a common finish area.
- In order to ensure the operation of the courses the Alpine Center is equipped with ski lifts and an artificial snowmaking system.
